Youth Opportunities

Scholarship Program

Scholarships support high school seniors pursuing college, trade school or advanced education opportunities. Award amounts vary. Apply February 1 – March 1

Leadership Programs

Leadership Programs help students grow as leaders through virtual workshops focused on leadership, identity and community. Participants earn a $2,000 scholarship upon completion. Apply February 1 – March 1

Youth Circle

Young leaders who help shape the future of the Snow-Redfern Foundation by bringing their lived experiences, ideas and perspectives to shared decision-making, grantmaking, and initiatives that strengthen opportunities for youth across Nebraska. Participation stipend provided. Meets Bi-Monthly

Organizational Opportunities

Partnership Project

Helps organizations strengthen youth voice and leadership through a one-year learning cohort and grant opportunity. Organizations receive a minimum of $10,000 in funding. Apply September 15 – October 15, 2027

Legacy Grant

Supports rural youth-serving nonprofits implementing projects that strengthen youth wellbeing. Organizations receive $10,000 over two years. Apply July 1 – August 1 (even-numbered years)

Capacity Grant

Supports organizations building stronger programs, services and infrastructure for youth. Organizations receive $10,000 over two years. Apply July 1 – August 1 (odd-numbered years)

Changemakers Project

Supports youth-led community grantmaking and decision-making projects through key partnerships. Funding available up to $15,000. By Invitation Only

Career Connections

Supports partnerships creating career-building and scholarship opportunities for youth in rural communities. Funding available up to $20,000. By Invitation Only

Community Circle

Community members who bring lived experience, relationships, and local knowledge to help guide the Foundation’s decisions, shape grantmaking, and strengthen opportunities for youth across Nebraska through shared leadership. Participation stipend provided. Meets Bi-Monthly.

Administrative Circle

Volunteer board members who provide governance, financial stewardship, and strategic oversight while working alongside youth and community members to advance the Foundation’s mission. Volunteer Position. Meets Bi-Monthly.
